Join us for a special two-hour pottery wheel taster session led by master ceramicist Roberto Gagliano, celebrating the first weekend of the Artist Open House. With over 30 years of experience, Roberto will guide you through the magical process of throwing clay on the wheel in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

We suggest you arrive a few minutes early, so you have time to meet the tutor, settle in, and put your bags and coats away. Everything you need will be provided so you can simply relax and enjoy yourself.

The session begins with a quick tour of the studio, followed by an engaging demonstration by Roberto, where you’ll learn the key techniques of centering and throwing a basic cylinder.

You’ll then get hands-on, creating something of your own in a fun and friendly environment. With 12 pottery wheels available, this is a great chance to experience the joy of throwing, even if you’re a complete beginner.

Cancellations and Refunds

We understand that sometimes plans change. If the you are not able to attend the course, please inform us by email at least 2 days before the course start date.

If we are able to re-sell your space, you shall only be liable for an administration fee of £10.

If we are not able to re-sell your space, the following shall apply:

  • Cancellations made within 10 days of the start date will be non-refundable.
  • Cancellations made within 11-30 days of the start date will be refunded 50% of the Fee.
  • Cancellations made more than 30 days in advance of the course start date will be charged £10 to cover administration charges and the balance of the Fee refunded.

Please note that missed portions of any multi-day Course cannot be carried over to any other Course.
